Innovative and Agile Food Province
Welcome to the Food Province of Finland!
Innovative and agile The Food Province project develops the Food Province(Opens in a new window) -brand and communications. Project also tribalizes the Food Province actors into a closer community. The work lays the foundation for the development of the Food Province and the success of the actors in the Food Province network. The focus of the work is the entire South Ostrobothnian end the food chain from field to fork.
Concrete Actions
Brand and Communication Development
- Create a professional brand and communication plan for the Food Province.
- Update the visual identity and develop effective, accessible communication tools for all food chain actors.
- Launch digital solutions for automated information sharing, such as an online info hub and an electronic event calendar.
- Promote the use of the “Food Province” term and share stories about local companies and producers.
Community Building (“Heimo” Concept)
- Organize joint events and develop new event concepts (e.g., Food Days, harvest week, seminars).
- Map and strengthen the network of food sector actors through digital tools and surveys.
- Establish a recognition system to reward active contributors and increase visibility in national competitions.
Infrastructure for Collaboration
- Support the Food Province leadership forum and help develop efficient working practices.
- Create metrics to measure long-term progress and success.
- Register the Food Province cluster in the EU Cluster Collaboration Platform to boost international visibility.
Food Events and Business Promotion
- Develop and promote new food event concepts to support entrepreneurship and networking.
- Consolidate and publicize food-related events to attract participants and partners.
- Use digital and virtual solutions to enhance event experiences and reach wider audiences.
Valuing Food Production
- Communicate the importance and responsibility of local food production, especially in terms of security and sustainability.
- Use digital channels to build confidence among farmers and highlight best practices.
- Ensure strong representation of primary production in leadership forums.
Innovation and Future Readiness
- Gather and share information about food sector innovation services on the Food Province website.
- Identify needs for new innovation concepts and services through stakeholder dialogues.
- Benchmark and learn from other regions’ innovation and business incubator models, including study visits in Finland and Europe.
- Emphasize digitalization and future foresight in all innovation activities.
