Digitalizing Business Networks DigiNet - SeAMK Projects

Digitalizing Business Networks DigiNet

The project DigiNet aims to propel the digitalization of SMEs in Southern Ostrobothnia’s manufacturing sector. Spearheaded by Vaasa University and Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, this initiative will enhance digital awareness, readiness, and implementation among companies and business networks.

The key objectives are:

  1. Raise awareness about digitalization and its potential for SMEs.
  2. Educate and motivate SMEs on the benefits and challenges of digital transformation.
  3. Implement practical digital tools and platforms to advance business operations.

The project will significantly boost digital competence and efficiency, freeing up resources for long-term development. Companies that embrace new technologies will see their digital capabilities reflected in regional metrics, enhancing competitiveness and fostering regional prosperity through job creation and improved services.

The region’s business networks will receive concrete assistance with digitalization, unlocking significant benefits such as enhanced operational efficiency. This initiative will free up vital resources, allowing companies to focus on long-term development and cultivating robust business networks. By adopting cutting-edge technologies, businesses will elevate their digital maturity, a metric that will be reflected in SME barometers and follow-up surveys assessing the digitalization level in South Ostrobothnia. This advancement will not only boost the competitiveness of these companies but also invigorate their networks’ operations.

In the broader scope, successful businesses engender regional well-being, creating jobs and enhancing services and products. This project will thus significantly contribute to the vitality of South Ostrobothnia, aligning with the objectives of the smart specialization strategy and fostering employment growth.
